Students fill out worksheets to document their learning at multiple points in the lesson: (beginning, middle, and end)

The long version is great to leave behind for a substitute teacher, as the video does everything.
It explains how to fill out the handouts and also shows a visual timer during the work periods.
All your substitute teacher needs to do is classroom management and support the student learning!
- Version 1 (Short Version) - 1 hour 9 minutes
This video tells you when to pause for class discussions.
*Please note: The short version does NOT walk your students through the four corners debate. That is part of the full lesson. This shorter version is for teachers who have their own debate format and just want to use the video for information about Chat GPT.
- Version 2 (FULL lesson) - 3 hours 9 minutes
This longer video has everything in the short version AND explains to students how to fill in the worksheets.
It also has time for class discussions built into the video (with a visual timer.)
*Please note: The longer version does not include time for students to write their responses at the end. You'll have to add time in your lesson planning for them to complete this at school. (Otherwise, let's be honest. Some of them will be tempted to use ChatGPT to do this assignment...)

PS: Technically, ChatGPT is a brand and is one word (as you can see from this OpenAI blog post.) But, lots of us use two words to describe Chat GPT.
